Design features
Being an older vessel the 4000 is a very affordable option, great for getting your feet wet if you’re looking to go overnighting in comfort. The boat is easily capable of week-long trips, taking you as far as the Bay of Islands and back on a single tank of fuel.
The 4000 offers a very family-friendly layout, excellent performance, and superb all-round utility, cruising at 30 knots, sprinting to 37kts. The well-proven hull is shared with the 12.5m Protector workboat.
There’s plenty of light in the saloon, which melds into the boat’s generous cockpit — ideal for entertaining, fishing and diving. The saloon helm seat tilts forward to increase galley bench space, while ample under-seat and deck storage means you won’t have to skimp when packing.
There’s a double bed and a bunk in the forward cabin, as well as a double berth and a quarter berth amidships, which gives you ample room for family and friends. A full electric toilet in the bathroom, as well as a warm shower, means you can go away without losing the comforts of home.
Better still, the boat comes with the knowledge that at the end of the day, someone else is looking after cleaning, laundry and maintenance. Off you go then.
