Ownaship’s Boat Show a Huge Success

Ownaship ran our first ever on-water boat show on the first Sunday of August, and it’s no exaggeration to say that we were blown away with the level of interest and new sign-ups.

On display were our Rayglass 3500, Maritimo M51, Lucia 40 (new model ‘Isla 40‘) and MY40 syndicate boats.

The event enjoyed a stroke of good luck with its timing, sneaking in the weekend before Auckland went into its second lockdown. That wasn’t the events only success though, with stronger interest and more shares sold than at any other event Ownaship has been part of. We also had some strong interest in new boat sales, with a good portion of attendees interested in sole ownership of Maritimo’s and Fountaine Pajot catamarans, for which we are authorised sales consultants. turning peoples interests to new things but were still blown away with how the event went. “A lot of people are looking for something to do with their time this summer, and it’s an absolute privilege to be able to offer Kiwi’s a simple way to get into boating. We are grateful to be able to provide that opportunity to people” says Ownaship’s managing director Simon Barker.

New boats joining our syndication fleet this year include our eighth Rayglass 3500, due September, and first Maritimo X50, due December. Thanks to demand from the show we are also looking at some additional boats for the year, with decisions on those coming in the next few months.

We were expecting interest to be high because of Covid-19 turning peoples interests to new things but were still blown away with how the event went. “A lot of people are looking for something to do with their time this summer, and it’s an absolute privilege to be able to offer Kiwi’s a simple way to get into boating. If boating has been on your bucket list for a while but you’ve never quite gotten around to it, now is a great time to start thinking about it. The Auckland region is lucky enough to harbour some of the world’s best boating grounds. Many of us will never get around to exploring them, but with overseas travel off the menu, for now, we have a rare chance to explore wonderful things that have previously been hiding in plain sight.
